Weekend

Sorry I've been such a terrible blogger.  It's just that, right now, I don't feel like I have anything interesting to write about.  Things have been really, really great in my house, but it's nothing anyone wants to hear about.  Here are some updates, in no sort of order.
  • I got a haircut and it feels soooo much better.  Oh and I'm blonder now too and feel so much more like myself.  For the time being.
  • Mogley ate a whole box of Triscuits and some meat packaging (yes, just the packaging) within the last week.  Great, our 4 year old dog has changed his occupation from slug to counter surfer.  How lucky are we?
  • The husband and I ordered a skate skiing setup and got a smokin' deal.  New gear and getting a deal...2 of my very favorite things.
  • Heading to Deer Valley Tonight to watch the Freeski Aerial Championships.  Pretty excited to see some crazy people launching themselves on skis.  I'll never understand.
  • We'll probably ski this weekend and it will probably be pretty mediocre.  We've had no snow and the 7 day forecast has a big ole' sun every day.  Not good.
Have a great weekend everyone.  The weather is not cooperating with snow, but it's been BEAUTIFUL every morning on our way to work.  The sunrises in Park City are amazing!

Only Munch

Garrett:  If I sit around with my tongue hanging out of my mouth, will you talk in a high pitched voice and tell me how cute I am??

Me:  Not a chance.

Update

The last few weeks have been seriously CRAZY in my world.  The Outdoor Retailer was in town, which is a total time suck for me.  We went to Fruita, CO for some surprisingly awesome mountain biking.  It has finally started to snow around here and we can officially say we've enjoyed some Utah powder this year.  My life has been insane, but I think things are returning to normal.  Here are some pics from our trip to Fruita.  I really do love that place.

My Group

I love this picture of my little family.  When I'm having a bad day, this photo makes things better.  When Garrett does things like throw his pants on the floor right in front of his dresser vs. folding them up and putting them back in the drawer, I forgive him.  When Mogley barks at a CAR driving down the street, I forgive him.  When Munch walks over to my grocery bag sitting in the driveway and lifts his leg on it, I don't kill him.  Best picture ever.

Fighting off the Winter Chill

He should just be thankful Munch is not mounting his head.  GLASS HALF FULL.

Munch

Have you ever seen a more handsome profile?  I didn't think so.

This is a typical Saturday morning:

Munch barks at dog walking down the street.  I yell at him to stop.  He keeps barking.  I shut the door so he can't see dog anymore.  Moments later, I'm kissing him.

Munch jumps on the couch.  I yell at him to get down b/c HE KNOWS he is not allowed on the couch.  He runs to his bed and I meet him there to comfort him, perhaps give him a treat.

Munch has "relations" with Mogley's face.  Garrett and I are both screaming for him to knock.it.off.  I give him a new bone to refocus his attention.

Car driving down the street, barking, screaming, VERY stern voices, threat of having to wear the bark collar, sitting on my lap swaddled in a blanket.  You get the picture.

Little dude has my number ya'll.

Rainbows and Butterflies

Oftentimes, I find myself completely obsessed with reading other peoples' blogs.  It's a total time suck, but there are days when I cannot get enough.  And here's why...their perfect lives, their perfect kids, their perfect house, their perfect husbands.  When I read blogs, it's as if everything is all rainbows and butterflies all the time and I'm completely jealous.  How can they have everything and be so perfect??  But then I look at my blog, and despite a terrible day or terrible MONTH, I'm guilty of the same thing.  My blog looks as if my life is perfect.  It's a total ruse, but I guess I just don't like to write about the crappy stuff, and I'm not sure anyone wants to read the crappy stuff.  Anyway, my point. No one is perfect.  Everyone has problems.  It's life and we should embrace it.  All of it.

So Long 2011

The holidays are officially behind us, and to say I have been a bad blog updater is quite the understatement.  I took a vacation, from EVERYTHING for the last week of 2011 but I suppose it's time to get back to life.

The husband and I had a wonderful Christmas...full of fun, presents and tormenting our dogs by making them wear my ridiculous Santa hat.

We had a super low key New Years Eve and we both fell asleep on the couch by 10:30pm.  When I was "younger," I never understood how my parents could just do nothing for New Years Eve...I mean, how boring of them.  Yeah, so...

I would tell you my New Years Resolutions but I don't make them.  I think its a dumb tradition that does nothing but overcrowd gyms for the month of January.

2011 was an okay year for us, but I'm happy to see it go.  It was a great year in some respects, but a really crappy year in others.  Here's to hoping 2012 brings about some changes and happiness.  I have a lot of plans in the works, so we'll see how it all goes.  Happy 2012 Everyone!!
